The SECORE Board of Directors involves staff members of public aquaria, which play an important role in SECORE such as Rotterdam Zoo (the Netherlands) and Columbus Zoo and Aquarium (USA).

The directors are responsible for defining the goals of SECORE and setting the paths to reach these goals. They coordinate the project and ensure a solid financial basis. The Board of Directors nominates new members, sponsors and funders.
