SECORE workshops

SECORE divers in the field

Workshop participant preapring gamete collection nets

Every year, SECORE organizes field workshops for its members. During coral spawning events, participants learn hands-on how to collect and use the tiny egg-sperm bundels which are released by corals only in a few nights every year. More and more scientists join our workshops since they can work on experiments which might help to safe these delicate creatures.

Weblogs

Every workshop is a new challenge and adventure. Will the corals spawn? Will everything be ready in time? Unforeseen problems are as sure as a very special atmosphere when marine biologists and aquarists get together from around the world!
