Since its beginning in 2002, zoos and public aquariums have played an important role in SECORE, being actively involved in the field work and doing educational and outreach programs. Some of them, like the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium and Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium, have been with us for more than 15 years. In 2017, we have launched a unique program for zoos and aquariums to increase their impact in coral reef conservation and restoration.
